Digital UK and Freeview

The current operating structure of the platform is the legacy of several organisations (DTG, ONDigital, TDN, Freeview, DMOL and Digital UK) over the past 20 years and as far as we know has not been systematically reviewed. There may be areas where several parties participate; and others where no party has clear responsibility.

Digital UK have initiated this ‘Operational Governance Review’ to determine if the current arrangements are fit-for-purpose for the future. DigitalFirst has interviewed key stakeholders from Digital UK, Freeview, BBC, ITV, Channel 4, we have reviewed key operational procedures and examined key strategic programmes within Digital UK and Freeview to establish whether these will impact the resources and operations of the businesses.
